About the Founder


Crystal Durling
Crystal Durling is a professional violinist, educator, and founder of Durling Music Academy, offering high-quality music instruction rooted in over a decade of experience. She began her violin studies in 2010 and trained under distinguished mentors including Brad Bohn and Harry Scorzo.
Crystal’s performance career includes appearances on renowned national stages such as the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame, performing alongside country artist Josh Turner. She has also performed twice at Carnegie Hall—first in 2019 with the Temecula Conservatory of Music, earning a gold rating at the New York International Music Festival, and again in 2024 with the San Diego Civic Youth Orchestra for the Viennese Masters Orchestra Invitational.
As an instructor, Crystal is known for her ability to build confidence, technique, and creativity in students of all ages. Since 2021, she has provided private lessons in violin, beginner piano, and voice, combining classical training with a personalized, encouraging approach. In addition to teaching, she performs as a wedding violinist and collaborates with worship teams and professional bands.
